This extraordinary event will not only be a deed to charity, but an exaltation and mark of respect to a compassionate, philanthropic and family man in the figure of Keith Chorlton, who touched the lives of many people, including many of his own employees, and almost everybody he met. James Llewellyn had known Keith Chorlton his entire life and even grew up with his four sons Alan, Simon, James and Lance in their original town of Chepstow, South Wales.

Mr Keith Chorlton

Since Mr. Chorlton passed away, James and a number of his colleagues at their company have been trying to figure out ways of raising money, awareness and appreciation for cancer research so that future medical breakthroughs could potentially find more efficient markers to detect early signs of the disease and even work towards the possibility of finding a long-term cure. James and his colleagues believe that this event is quite possibly the best way to try and raise money for the charity.Tattoo Record Cancer Wales Logo The impetus for James’ decision to donate money for this cause comes from his personal life experiences; his own mother is a cancer survivor and more recently, he lost somebody close to him with the disease. A dear friend and somebody he had known all his life had fallen victim to colorectal cancer metastases (mCRC); a man who had given his life to South Wales and many of its residents. The subject and a number of his colleagues at their Cwmbran based company would therefore use this opportunity to pay homage to their late boss, Keith Chorlton who passed away on 25th March 2011); however, it was James himself who both coined the idea and volunteered to undergo the procedure for the world longest tattoo session in commemoration of Mr. Chorlton.
